Meeting Your Chauffeur at Sea-Tac: Where to Go, the Pickup Sign and How Wait Time Works

For a Sea-Tac chauffeur pickup with Kamo Limo, the standard option is curbside. Once you land, your chauffeur texts you the meeting point and a description of the vehicle, and you meet at the arrivals curb. If you’d rather be met inside, book meet-and-greet as an add-on. Your chauffeur parks, walks in, finds you with a name board and takes your bags out to the car.

Here’s how each option works at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, what to do after you land, and how flight delays are handled.

Where do you meet your chauffeur at Sea-Tac?

It depends on the pickup type you booked:

  • Curbside pickup (standard). Prearranged limousines are permitted to pick up on the Arrival Drive, the airport’s lower drive outside baggage claim, according to the Port of Seattle’s operating requirements. Your chauffeur texts the exact spot and vehicle details once you’re on the ground.
  • Meet-and-greet (add-on). Your chauffeur parks in the designated limousine stalls on the 3rd floor of the airport parking garage, walks into the terminal and meets you inside with a name board. Then they walk you and your bags out to the vehicle.

Don’t head to the rideshare area on the 3rd floor of the garage unless your chauffeur tells you to. The Port of Seattle routes standard Uber and Lyft pickups and taxis there, and it’s easy to end up in the wrong line.

What does the sign say for a meet-and-greet pickup?

For meet-and-greet bookings, the chauffeur holds a name board with the name on the reservation. If you’re booking for someone else, such as a client, an executive or a parent, put the traveler’s name on the booking exactly as you want it to appear. Say so if you’d rather use a company name or a code word instead of a full name.

Want something more fun? Some travelers like a custom sign for a homecoming or a surprise. Our post on funny airport pickup signs has ideas. Ask when you book if you’d like your chauffeur to hold one.

What should you do after your plane lands?

  1. Turn your phone on. Your chauffeur texts the meeting point and vehicle description once you’re on the ground.
  2. Collect your bags at baggage claim if you checked any.
  3. Reply to the text when you’re ready, especially if you’re waiting on oversized bags or traveling with a group.
  4. Head to the meeting point: the arrivals curb for curbside pickup, or the spot inside the terminal your chauffeur gives you for meet-and-greet.

Traveling internationally? Customs and immigration time varies a lot, so stay in touch by text while you’re in line. Your chauffeur sees where you are in the process instead of guessing.

How does wait time work if your flight is late?

Every Kamo Limo airport booking is matched to your flight number, and dispatch starts monitoring it three hours before arrival. If you land early or late, dispatch works from your actual landing time, not the time you originally booked.

Kamo Limo doesn’t publish a stopwatch figure for how long a pickup is held. Each situation is handled with dispatch, which is staffed 24 hours. The simplest way to avoid problems:

  • Put your flight number on the booking, not just a pickup time.
  • Text your chauffeur if you’re delayed after landing by a long customs line, a lost bag or a gate change.
  • Keep the dispatch number, (425) 739-1141, handy in case you can’t reach the chauffeur.

Is meet-and-greet worth the extra cost?

Meet-and-greet costs extra partly because the chauffeur has to park in the garage instead of waiting at the curb. It’s worth considering when:

  • It’s someone’s first time at Sea-Tac, or the traveler is elderly or has mobility needs.
  • You’re traveling with children, lots of luggage or sports equipment.
  • You’re booking for a VIP or client and want them greeted by name.
  • You’re arriving on a late international flight and want a familiar face waiting.

For a frequent business traveler with a carry-on, curbside pickup is usually all you need.

Can a chauffeur pick you up at a hotel or another address instead?

Yes, a pickup address can be any location you choose: a nearby airport hotel, a SeaTac business, or a meeting point you agree on with dispatch. Put it on the quote request, and tell us if your plans change after booking.

What if you’re traveling with a group or a lot of luggage?

Groups are where planning pays off most. A Sprinter seats up to 14 passengers, but when every seat is filled, the luggage bay behind the last row is the only cargo space. For a full group with large checked bags, plan on a second vehicle or a separate luggage run. Size the booking for the largest number of travelers you expect, because the vehicle doesn’t change at the curb.

The high-roof Sprinter is also too tall for the airport garage decks, so for a group in a Sprinter, expect a curbside meeting point. Your chauffeur will text you exactly where.

Where does your chauffeur drop you off for a departing flight?

For departures, the Port of Seattle requires prearranged vehicles to drop off on the Departures Drive, the upper level, in the load and unload lanes or bus zones. Your chauffeur handles the curb rules. Just give your airline when you book so they can drop you near the right check-in counters. When you book a departure, tell us how much time you want at the airport before your flight, and we’ll plan the pickup time around Seattle traffic.

What should you include when booking a Sea-Tac pickup?

  • Flight number and airline
  • Number of passengers and checked bags
  • Curbside or meet-and-greet
  • Name for the board (for meet-and-greet)
  • Any child seats (they arrive installed when requested)
  • Destination, whether it’s downtown Seattle, Bellevue, a cruise terminal or home
