Your final price is confirmed in writing before you book and varies with the date, time of day, exact pickup address, vehicle availability, luggage count, tolls and extra stops. Trips between midnight and 5:00 AM and certain public holidays carry a $66 surcharge. Gratuity is not included — 20% is recommended and entirely at your discretion.
Pier 91, the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal, sits north of downtown in Magnolia at 2001 W Garfield Street. It handles most of the large Alaska ships, so on a summer Saturday two vessels can be turning around at once and several thousand passengers arrive inside the same three-hour window. It is further from downtown hotels than most people assume, and the single access road backs up badly on turnaround mornings. The terminal itself has a proper covered drop-off with porters — the bottleneck is the road in, not the kerb.
Pier 66, the Bell Street Cruise Terminal, is on the downtown waterfront at 2225 Alaskan Way, walking distance from the Pike Place end of the city. It is the shorter run from a city-centre hotel, often 10 to 15 minutes, and that proximity is exactly why people leave too late. The drop-off is tight, directly on Alaskan Way, with nowhere to circle. Being dropped at the right point matters more here than the drive time does.
