WHY BOOK YOUR TACOMA TRANSFER WITH KAMO

“Thirty minutes from Sea-Tac on a good day. We plan the pickup around the day I-5 disagrees.”

A Tacoma airport run is the one trip where being ten minutes late actually costs you something. That is the whole reason this service exists: a chauffeur who is already watching your flight, a vehicle that fits your luggage, and a price agreed before you get in.

Your Rate, Fixed Up Front

You see the full price before you book, and that is the price on the day. No surge multiplier at 5pm on a Friday and no meter running while I-5 sits still.

We Track Your Flight

We start tracking your inbound three hours before pickup. Land early or sit on the tarmac and your chauffeur’s timing moves with you — you do not need to call us.

Pierce County Locals

Our chauffeurs know which way to come at the Narrows Bridge on a Friday, and what JBLM traffic does to the southbound run. That knowledge is the difference between on time and nearly.

ABOUT KAMO LIMO

Tacoma and Pierce County Specialists

Tacoma sits 25 miles south of Sea-Tac, which sounds simple right up until you are doing it at 5am with luggage, or at 4pm when southbound I-5 has stopped moving. Kamo Limo runs chauffeured sedans, SUVs and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans between Tacoma and the airport, the Seattle cruise piers, downtown Seattle and anywhere else in the Puget Sound region — on a fixed rate agreed before you book, with a licensed commercial chauffeur rather than whoever happens to be nearby.

Sizing the vehicle is about luggage as much as headcount. A sedan is comfortable for two travellers with two large cases. Four people with full luggage want an SUV. A wedding party, a sports team or a conference group heading north wants a Sprinter van — up to 14 seats with real luggage room.

Ten years, 500+ five-star reviews, and dispatch staffed 24 hours. Red-eye landings and 5am departures are the normal shape of this work here, not the exception.

Downtown and the Theater District, Stadium and the North End, Proctor, Point Ruston and Ruston Way, University Place, Fircrest, Browns Point, Lakewood, Puyallup, Federal Way, and Gig Harbor across the Narrows. Hotel, private residence, office or venue — the chauffeur comes to the door.

Regular destinations: the Tacoma Dome, the Greater Tacoma Convention Center, the Museum of Glass and the Museum District, Point Defiance, Chambers Bay, Emerald Queen Casino, Tacoma Narrows Airport, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, and the Seattle cruise piers for Alaska sailings.

Tacoma To Sea-Tac: What The Drive Actually Looks Like

Thirty to forty minutes outside peak. Southbound I-5 between 3pm and 7pm on a weekday can push that past an hour, and the JBLM stretch through Lakewood is its own separate problem — it backs up independently of everything else and it is the single most common reason a Tacoma airport run goes wrong.

Coming from Gig Harbor, add the Narrows Bridge. Westbound is usually fine; eastbound on a summer Friday is not, and the toll plaza queue is not something you want to discover 40 minutes before a bag drop closes.

We build all of that into the pickup time rather than into the fare. The rate you agree does not change because the road did. For a morning flight out of Sea-Tac we will normally suggest leaving earlier than feels necessary — being 20 minutes early at the terminal costs nothing, and being 20 minutes late costs the flight.

Tacoma Transportation: Common Questions

How much is a car from Sea-Tac to Tacoma?

As a guide, a sedan is around $95, an SUV around $135 and a 14-passenger Sprinter van around $195. Full estimate table above. These are estimates — your final rate is confirmed in writing before you book and varies with season, date, time of day and exact address.

How long does it take to get from Sea-Tac to Tacoma?

Roughly 30 to 40 minutes outside peak hours. Southbound I-5 between 3pm and 7pm can push that past an hour, and the JBLM stretch through Lakewood adds more. We build the traffic into the pickup time rather than into the fare.

Do you track my flight into Sea-Tac?

Yes. We begin tracking your flight three hours before the scheduled pickup, so a delayed or early arrival adjusts automatically. Tell us if your flight number changes, because our tracking follows the number.

Do you serve Joint Base Lewis-McChord?

Yes, JBLM pickups and drop-offs are regular work for us. Active and retired military generally receive 5% off base fares of $75 or more with valid ID.

Can you take us from Tacoma to the Seattle cruise piers?

Yes — both Pier 91 (Smith Cove) and Pier 66 (Bell Street). Alaska embarkation days are the busiest of the year at both terminals, so book early and allow more time than the drive alone suggests.

What is your cancellation policy?

For local Seattle-area sedan and SUV airport transfers, cancellations 24 hours or more before pickup are generally free of charge. Event and hourly bookings take a 25–50% deposit at the time of booking, which is non-refundable.

How do you take payment?

All major credit cards and cash. Your card is authorised up to 24 hours before pickup and the final charge is taken after drop-off. Payments run through Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

How far in advance should I book?

At least two hours before pickup for a standard transfer. For early-morning flights, event weekends, cruise embarkation days and anything involving a group vehicle, book as far ahead as you can — the larger vehicles go first.

Do you cover Gig Harbor and Puyallup?

Yes, along with Lakewood, University Place, Fircrest, Federal Way and the wider Pierce County area. Distance affects the quote, so give us the pickup address when you enquire.

Is this cheaper than a rideshare from Tacoma?

It is a different product. Rideshare pricing moves with demand, so a 5am airport run in the rain can cost several times the standing fare, and long southbound trips are exactly where surge bites hardest. Our rate is fixed when you book, the vehicle class is the one you chose, and the chauffeur is a licensed commercial driver.
